Prionia is the highest point you can get by car on Olympus, at 1.100m. From that point and up there are only paths for the top. At Prionia there is a tavern, which is open all year long and it is also very famous for its traditional menu. The well-known European route E4 crosses Prionia and that is a popular starting point for a route that many prefer. Going down the canyon of Enipeas as you follow the river is a very beautiful route, in which you will find breathtaking scenery. The end of that route is at Litochoro and to be excact right in front of Hotel Villa Pantheon!
Alternatively you can explore the mountain using your car only. You can visit Ai-Giannis, the church of Profitis Ilias, the old bombed monastery of Agios Dionisios and the New monastery of Agios Dionisios.
